Imagine yourself swinging in a hammock lulled by a tropical ocean breeze, the sound of waves gently lapping at the deserted beach in front of the house. Monkeys pass by in the trees above, amusing you with their antics. Exotic butterflies, birds and flowers provide contrast to the rich jungle greenery. Experience this fantasy in lovely, undiscovered Cabuya at our open air, open concept beach house.
Casa Astrid's open air cathedral ceilings and french doors, which span the ocean side of the house, allow for wonderful light and ventilation. The spacious covered deck is ideal for dining or relaxing in one of the various hammocks, or lounge chairs. Two bedrooms, one with a double bunk bed, and a built in couch provide sleeping space for up to 6 guests.

Bring your laptop to enjoy our highspeed Internet connection via the fiber optic phone line. Sleep in the cool quiet, courtesy of the external air conditioning units in both bedrooms.

Cabuya is nestled between Montezuma and Mal Pais at the very tip of the Nicoya Peninsula, just east of Cabo Blanco Reserve, the first national park in Costa Rica. Cabuya will enchant you with miles of wild, palm fringed coast, abundance of exotic flora and fauna, and river and jungle hikes with waterfalls and secret beaches to discover. Cabuya also surprisingly boasts 5 restaurants, 5 hotels and two grocery stores. While some visitors choose to rent a car, many sights, hikes and several towns are within walking or cycling distance.
