There are a surprising number of restaurants and businesses right in Cabuya. Almost all of the hotels also boast a decent restaurant.
Some restaurants will deliver food to the house or at least offer the option of take away food. The two grocery stores also have excellent produce,
alcohol and decent meat and fish. You can also buy fish from local fishermen for a good price. In fact, people come from Cobano and
Montezuma to Cabuya to get their fresh seafood.
Cafe Coyote not only serves up excellent food and fresh fruit shakes but has a not-too-slow dial up Internet service. In fact
it is generally faster that what you can get in Montezuma. Supposedly Cabuya will have high-speed Internet soon. We will keep you posted.
There is also a bus service that runs every two hours from the crossroads by the house to Montezuma. Montezuma has an excellent variety of restaurants,
bars and stores. From Montezuma you can catch a bus into Cobano, which has the only bank in the area.
A taxi to Montezuma is about $4 and to Cobano about $14.
